Let your imagination go. Don't worry about coding yet. Better to overestimate your abilities rather than underestimate.

The closer your "mock up" design is the better the end product will be.

How do you communicate your range of ideas and suggestions with each other?

Include everything you can in your sketch:

Buttons - Links - Banner - Header - Images - Colors - Text - Borders - Backgrounds - Margins - Padding - etc.

Be as detailed as possible.

Only move to the computer when your customer signs off and agrees to your estimate.
